Wild
turkeys snatch the apples
Leaves
rustle as they grapple.
Vegetables
hand picked to glean;
When
rabbits ate the green beans.

Frost
bids adieu to the gardens
Fuel
bills cost sends few bargains;
October
prepares ... winters ahead
Need
to splinter the ole' trees dead.

Cast
iron stoves trusty wood heat
Toasts
fingers...down to the feet,
E'en
warmed a ghosts cold toes...
Poking
neath' halloween clothes.

A
willow tree retains life to hold
Walking
its path ... the sun is gold,
Tho'
half is missing ..it lost a limb,
It gains
the piece to live within.
