...I have lift up mine
hand unto the Lord, the most high God,
the possessor of
heaven and earth...That I will not take from
a thread even to
a shoe latchet...Genesis 14: 22-23
In
heaven there are no threats to mend
Grey
and fox squirrels co-exist as friend;
Like
scraps of swathe to twist and spin
Uniform
cloth needs threads to blend..
To
stitch God's peace for the world
We
don't need to walk a path of burrs
To
feel the wrath of needle sharp spurs;
Talk
may patch up some angry words.
The
little wars that start within ourselves
Could
be put away and left on a shelf
Or
buried in the ground with the hatchet
When
we fasten our tongue shoe latchet..
For
the earth still belongs to the Lord's
And
to waste it by dangling loose cords
One
may trip o'er it and fall flat on their lip
Leaving
a large hole for us all to slip..
