And why take ye thought
for raiment?
Consider the "lilies
of the field, how they grow,
they toil not,
neither do they spin....Matthew 6: 28
|
Irises in
the scriptures
Quote them as
lilies of the field.
"They toil not,
nor do they spin."
Raiment can only
be revealed,
After thoughts
are open
To see God's
pictures...

Purple Irises grew wild
By old house that burned;
The folk's lost a young child,
But the flowers returned.
They've graced empty spaces
With most tender regard;
Some dug from the homeplace
Spent 30 years in our yard.
Tho' other families have gone
To join little brother beyond...
The Wild Irises remain
Each spring to regain.

Myself, May 30, 2006,
with the Wild Irises, (that Dorsey my husband dug from the folk's
field 30 years ago.)
This page is dedicated to Dorsey who had his 66th birthday on May, 31st.
I also dedicate
it to my father's memory for an early Father's Day page..
I came across an extraordinary
website that shows
a gallery of Irises of every kind imaginable..I
promise
you will be awed to see all of the
beauty on that page!
