But we all, with open face behold as in a glass
the glory of  the Lord...Corinthians 3-18

The magic of above image is that it imparts a 3D optical illusion
of my muddy shoes standing on a high ledge looking down into a
dizzying recess of water beneath me.  When in reality the cement
slab I am standing on is on the same level as the mud puddle.
(I'm not sure what happened to my head reflected in this photo ..it
looks like it either turned into a rock or perhaps Mr. Toad grabbed it
from, "Wind in the Willows." {{smile}} The beauty of a reflection
is that it can be anything you want it to be in your imagination.

There are some days when the earth looks like it is shaded in
greys or browns.  Nevertheless, there are still beautiful images
to be found..We just need to search a little harder for the
unusual  to appear and separate itself from the ordinary.

muddy driveway

How does one behold
To see a picture clearly
 When the muddy road
Ahead looms dark and drab
With gloom to be so dreary

The icy water and clay ooze
Made me wonder if I'd loose
My old brown hiking shoes
In earth's sludge and slime
Alas, the only thing I lost
was track of time!

A fashion plate under foggy skies
Not only held her limbs raised high
But our wondrous crab apple tree
Had grown a set of ample thighs~
Her feet buried in the soggy dirt;
And neath' her tweed brown skirt
She bent her knobby knee.

The  liquescent watery  slush
Spattering patterns on the road
Was as if translucent paint
Flowed from artist  brush
For earth and trees so quaint
To be fruitful and grow old.

At last I spotted earth's glass mirror
And waved HELLO to my reflection!
I knew thru' puddle's introspection
There are subtle ways and direction
For turning drab to cheer.

On cue.. molecules split apart
Like kaleidoscopic images swirled
Exposing sky~tree and waters~
 'Microscopic peace for global art'
Churning road from sea to world.
