COMETH  FORTH LIKE  A FLOWER~
Job 14: 2

Life opens and closes like a flower,
Cometh forth with stalks strong and agile..
But as time flies ...clocks tick by the hour,
Petals are taken that are sick and fragile...

***************

For all flesh is as grass, and all the the glory of man as the
flower of  grass. The grass withereth, and the flower
thereof  falleth away...I Peter 1: 24

The Siberian Iris .. 'purr'·fumes' their scent
A  striped tigris... without blood and flesh,
The blooms will pass.. tho' foliage is fresh..
Falleth in grass  as they sleep in content....

     *******************************
I am the rose of sharon  and the lily of the valley.
******Song of Solomon 2:1*****

Rose of sharon and valley's lily..
Grows on earth.. sometimes hilly
And e'en in depressed..lower parts,
We've pressed flowers to our hearts.

(Although, we don't have 'rose of sharon' growing in our yard,
we look forward to seeing  pink roses every June.)

The precious baby below shares her first name..  Lily, with
"Lily of the Valley flower." We attended the funeral of
her grandmother, Linda, on June 15, 2004.

This section is in remembrance of Linda, my husband's cousin,
who dearly loved her daughter, granddaughter, quilting, and flowers.
Lily, was the light in Linda's eyes.

Nodding heads cluster
with glowing lustre'
Hanging their pearls
of white faerie bells
O'er the wooded dells.

Lilies shed pure light
Breathing new life
Sheathing the earth,
In warmth and comfort
As they cometh forth.
