Thy
word is a lamp unto my path and a light
unto
my feet...Psalm 119: 105

to detail."
Hello, and welcome to my
new website location at 1asphost.com. When I started my
journey in September of
1999, I was a novice on the computer. It began strictly as a
hobby photography
page with no clue whatsoever how I could post a site that anyone
would care to see..I struggled
with just learning the basics of putting a page together.
I am sure that anyone who
has done any webpaging at all can relate to that feeling.
Later I felt inspired to
compose poetry and combine it with my photography to express
variety with new meaning
to my site ....The theme of my pages as of recent years has been
centering around nature....which
I feel most comfortable with now in this stage of my life.
The joys of photographing
beautiful birds and flowers are such a good source of material
that the "well rarely runs
dry." My husband also is a nature lover and if I am not able to
identify a bird
or a type of flower that is familiar to me, he usually has the answer.
This is my third website
location since 1999. Server hosts have either gone down
or changed hands through
the years and I had to start over with a different slate.
February 01st, 2004 was
the date that my
Archives
Index page would see the light
beyond the tunnel, with
selected categories of my favorite poetry and photography,
now dating back from 1999
to 2005. My newer listings are posted at What's
New.
After taking a home study
correspondence course from NYI of Photography
in September
of 1994, (when I turned
51 years old) I later received my certifcate of graduation in 1996.
Primarily, I took
the course as a hobby to improve the quality of my pictures, and not as
a
pre-requisite to a career.
It taught creative camera techniques but more importantly, their
lessons of life trained
my eyes in conjunction with my mind to look beyond the
glass.

I am not
a trained graphic artist, but have self-taught myself through trial and
error from
the "school of hard knocks" to design my own backgrounds from my
photography...There
are many graphic sites on the net who do offer beautiful
graphics and backgrounds to the public for personal and commercial sites.
